I proved to myself tonight.... the ability to create and see Categories, Subcategories, and Articles in every category and subcategory, etc. are being seen just fine on the front end... as created by SuperUser while logged into both front and back. This is all after just putting a fresh 5.1.1 on a different new server. I manually sat here and created a Guest Category and a bunch of subcategories under that. Inside each Cat I selected the Parent to be Blog. I then selected the Guest Category to display under the Blog Menu on Top Row menu item of cassiopeia. Now I can see my listing of empty categories with a 0 number on each link. Good so far. Now I can create new subcategories and map each one to one of the categories. The count of subcategories shows too. I put them all on the home page main menu bar. This is working fine on the brand new installation. Clicking the link to go into a subcategory works great. Success! I have no idea what I am overlooking on the other 5.1.1 where I have been working at for weeks now from J.5.1.0 updated to J 5.1.1. I will figure it out. Perhaps putting on all the extensions have mucked me up. Big list of extensions. Biggest is JCB, then Community Builder, then Joomdle, then a whole bunch of smaller task oriented JED linked extensions, Convert Forms, J2XML, PhocaPDF, BS MyJSpace, Sourcerer. et. al. I don't want to burn it all down to start over.
